Fat Virgin Cafe's simple "Caribbean fusion" menu offers the best casual waterside dining in the BVI. Our delectable home style dishes include tender guava glazed baby back ribs, West Indian boneless chicken roti, grilled wahoo fish, gourmet sandwiches, fritters and homemade soups. We always use the best quality ingredients, including locally grown produce, freshly caught fish and Angus-grade beef. Homemade sauces and dressings such as sun-dried tomato aioli, lemon-poppy seed salad dressing, and mango chutney are house specialties. Gourmet magazine loves our Fat Virgin Hot Sauce.
You can relax on our front deck with a drink or a 3-course meal. Bring the whole family or make it a special occasion for two. As long as you're ready to slow down the pace and savor our culinary delights, it doesn't matter if you come in your high heels or your bare feet.
About our Chefs
Restaurant owner and creative chef, Esther Wheatley, has always been committed to giving her customers the absolute best quality ingredients and products at the best price available. In the year 1998, she and her consulting chef, Chef Monica Guligimine from California, created an original menu that until this day features some of the best cuisine in the Caribbean. Their goal from the beginning was to have their customers experience authentic West-Indian cuisine thus, in the year 2001, Esther recruited and trained two chefs with that exact background: Pearl from the island of Trinidad and Judy from St. Vincent. For the past ten years, Judy and Pearl have delighted customers with their original recipes, Caribbean flavors, and exquisitely prepared dishes. Just recently, in February of 2011, a third chef was added into the mix: Chef Moonsamy from Guyana. Together, our three chefs create a fusion of flavors that are sure to delight and impress any customer.
Fat Virgin's Café accommodates private parties and events such as birthdays, wedding rehearsals, bachelor parties, and corporate dinners, etc. The restaurant holds up to 50 people and the menu can be modified according to customer requests.
