Restaurant owner Chef Esther Wheatley has always been committed to giving her customers the absolute best quality ingredients and products at the best price. During 1998, Chef Wheatley, along with consulting Chef Monica Guligimine, created a simple and flavorful menu that, to this day, features some of the best Caribbean cuisine in all of the British Virgin Islands and, naturally, the world.
From the very beginning, both Chefs’ goal was to offer their customers an authentic West-Indian cuisine experience and, to this end, in 2001, Esther recruited and trained three chefs who had precisely that background: Judy and Shemilia from St. Vincent and Nordica from Guayana. For the past 15 years, Judy, Shemilia and Nordica delighted customers with their original recipes, Caribbean flavors, and exquisitely prepared dishes and then, in February of 2014 Aldane (Rattie) from Jamaica, our bartender, was added to the mix. Together, our three chefs along with Aldane create a fusion of flavors that is sure to delight and impress any diner in search of a genuine culinary delight.
Fat Virgin's Cafe accommodates private parties and events such as birthdays, wedding rehearsals, bachelor parties, and corporate dinners, among others. The restaurant holds up to 50 people and the menu can be modified according to customer requests. Fat Virgin's Cafe also offers off-site catering, from BBQ dinners to lobster feasts.
